Critics however say 287(g) targets minor offenders. A UNC Chapel Hill report released last month found that nearly a third of immigrants flagged for deportation from N.C. jails were arrested on traffic violations.
What difference does it make? If they are here illegaly then ship them back.

If an American is arrested on a traffic violation and it is discovered that they are wanted for shoplifting, they are not going to just turn them loose, why should anyone here illegal be so privileged that they should be turned loose when they violated a Federal law when they entered this country?
The illegals do not want our laws enforced and neither do many in our corrupt government.

The illegals are not like Americans in most ways. Many of our relative fought and dead in wars to make this a great country. These people could demand change within their our country and have a much better life.

Good job! All states should adopt Arizona's policies on illegal immigration.

I guess you did not read the paper today. No amnesty in 2010, there are too many important issues to work on. Like elections! The American people are getting some attention from Obama.
