Please support the women who face Domestic Violence. In this case, the husband was mentally abusive and is transformed into physical abuse.

Important, please read, the charges were false:

Press Release 1/28/2011:

After a 2 day trial, Commissioner Ken Lucas of the Huntersville Town Board has been cleared of domestic violence allegations. His wife, Angela Lucas, alleged she had been assaulted by Mr. Lucas and asked for possession of the parties’ residence, custody of their minor child and support payments. A Mecklenburg County district court judge found the allegations unwarranted and dismissed the claims.

Mr. Lucas’ attorney, Allen Brotherton, said “We presented overwhelming evidence showing that Mrs. Lucas’ allegations were untrue. Ken is sad that it had to come to this, and wishes his wife had not chosen this path. Nevertheless, since he had no choice but to defend himself we are happy he has been vindicated.”

The companion criminal charge is technically still pending but Brotherton said he believes that charge “is on life support. We are optimistic that once the district attorney reviews all the evidence the remaining aspects of the case will be dismissed.”

Guess innocence until proven guilty prevails!!! Unfortunately, it was clearly proven and the judge supported that this was yet another misuse of the domestic violence system purely to defame someone and destroy them before they can even defend themselves. Obviously, Mr. Lucas prevailed in his claims of innocence and the judge saw right through the lies and untruthfulness of Mrs. Lucas. It's just another case that hurts the REAL domestic violence claims---Mrs. Lucas should be ashamed of herself for such false claims and abusing the system

How did she get the bloody nose? Obviously something happened unless it was self inflicted.
