How can you call people animals and you don't know there story.Besides what you seeon the television and what in you read in the papers.They are men who are just tryna survive out here. They work minimum wage jobs because no one will hire them. They have families and children. And the systems make it hard to survive when you are a convicted felon.They wanna live the american dream like everyone else. And I think its totally unfair because not only are they serving that sentence the families are to. My kids won't have a father.

You actually believe these guys got off light? You believe they are animals? If you did your research on these men you would know as they stated Hidden Valley Kings began in the EARLY 90's...look at the age of these men most of these men were in elementary school and early middle school when the feds should have been doing their job. What u see on the news now is nothing compared to what that neighborhood was like way before these men chose to start doing what they were doing. You look at the stories on television and think you know the story, you don't know the half!!!! Same people who said they were scared to let their children play outside, its funny because i see their kids out every day after curfew. And every one says they get rest now because they are in jail...just yesterday three innocent women were shot and one killed in Hidden valley so, lets be serious, if you've never knew these men or ever lived in that neighborhood do everyone a BIG favor,and shut up...

There is a distinct difference here. The people that are killed in these other situations are aware of the risks when they take them, and do so willingly. Your son could have killed any of us! What if he had hit a carload of children traveling in a church van. He may be sorry for what he did, but if you took a survey in prison, I bet you would find that a high number of the people there are sorry for their actions.

Being sorry for the outcome, does not change the act. I think that these individuals should be released long before Mr. Franklin. Their victims were aware, and took risks that lead to their outcomes. Stop making every thread on topix about your son's situation. He can repay us when he gets out by living a decent life, and contributing to society in any manor possible.

I did not intentionally imply that the loss of the two in the Franklin incident is by any means less tragic by the children in a bus comment. It was ment to imply that his actions putt even the most cautious of us in a very high risk situation by his actions.

You stated it very well. I argree with you that he may have not intended for this to happen, but it did. Many very very bad things happen from the best of intentions. His intentions are not the question here, his lack of judgement when getting behind the wheel is.
The pathway to hell is paved with good intentions, as is his path!!!!!
It was him that got behind the wheel of the vehicle, and it was him that led to the death of these two innocent people. We are all lucky that we are still able to be here and discuss at all. We can count our lucky stars that we were not in front of his weapon that night on 485.

I knew alot of those guys very well and I will be the first to admit that each man is accountable for his own actions. We take risk out here everyday to survive and our families know that. So it's funny to me when everybody get caught they want to start talking about their kids when truth be told they barely spent time with their kids anyway.Then you want to snitch on another man who's out here trying to support his family,I can't respect that.When I went to prison I went by myself, regardless of how long I went for the fact remains that I went. It's families out here going through the same pain all around the world because somebodies father wouldn't snitch on another father and got 20 years instead of 5.In this case half of these dummies snitched and still got 20 years. The only thing that distinguishes this gang from the gangs in Cali and all across the world is that 95% of these boys snitched and incrimedated themselves. Without their statements there would be no Hidden Valley Kings on Gangland TV. Now think about that!
