I didn't vote for her(the governor). I, along with everyone else, already knew her track record as well as how spend happy she is. As for all those who did vote for her , I guess you get what you asked for. Just don't expect to see any benefits from this "state budget".

I'm not happy with this either, but, when you have 11% unemployment, sales and the corresponding tax revenues are bound to fall. Since the state has existing obligations to fulfill, they have to raise the money somehow. So, they raise off of the backs of the people fortunate enough to have jobs.

The question is, will they reduce the tax in the future when revenues increase? The answer, most likely, is no.

Why Blame Obama for something the governor received as a gift from the previous NC administration? This state was in bad shape the 8 years your previous repukian bud George was in office.

Please take a look at NC itself. Why are they having such a hard time handling funds? Lots of states are having issues right now, but they aren't adding yet another tax.

They nickle and dime us to death, and still can not balance their books. They continually let prisoners out of jail and fail terribly at their probation follow ups, it's just one inept thing after the other in this state.

NC is and always will be the most highly taxed state in the SE USA. It's also amazingly the most mismanaged to boot.

Glad I moved out of the place, but still highly resent the huge state taxes I have to pay to NC (to drive 2 exits on I-77) out of my paycheck.
