Man's body found in pond in Ballantyne area

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say there are no apparent signs of foul play to a body found this morning in a pond near the Ballantyne area of south Charlotte.

I do not believe that this man would have walked into a cold pond on his own. You are not looking for the foul play involved. Maybe he witnessed a crime in the area. The foul play is probably close by if you would look. If this man did not know better than to walk into a cold pond, he would have been living in a location where he would have the close attention and care he needs. He knew how to swim, didn't he? Look for drug dealing in the close vicinity and you will probably find the person responsible.

I did not read where he was hurt, only that he was found in a pond after he was missing for a week. I agree with Julia in that he must have witnessed something to have been found in a pond. One interview on the news took statements from a neighbor who saw him every morning walking his dog. He did not show up for an appointment, so there must have been something in the early morning going on while he was walking his dog. Just a theory here.
