I am very impressed with the VOG warnings provided to the residents of Maui. Sulphur dioxide is a dangerous chemical.
Hopefully the tradewinds will do their magic and everyone can enjoy the beauty that is Maui.

i visit the hawaiian islands every year. last summer on kauai i noticed that alot of the flowers looked pale in color and sickly. to me the plants just did not look right. my friends agreed. i have to wonder if it has anything to do with the "VOG"?

Funny how everyone living in the islands say the trade winds will save us from having poor air quality... well take vog, add the pollution from your cars and industry and guess what you have... air that's worst than Los Angeles.

Hawaii needs to reduce their carbon foot print and failure to address the way people work, drive, commute or do things in general need to be addressed on an environmental stage... sad but the ainokea, i just going drive attitude is going to catch up with everyone. Traffic in Honolulu is bad now... imagine, you can't build anymore freeways... what's next?

Duh...Get off the carbon footprint. My Congressman called me last Thursday and we had a long conversation about Cap and Trade, global warming, carbon footprint. If you want to get rid of CO2, as I told him, plant more trees or have Brazil and Argentina stop cutting down the rain forest. Plus much more. I told him I helped put him in Congress and if he votes for the Cap and Trade, global warming,..I will do everything I can to help get him out of Congress next year. America...wake up..

I'm sorry to be so negative but just try to get help from you friends and neighbors about an action in Congress. Oh, I'm sorry but I'm not intersted OR it doesn't affect me. THEN...when its too late to do anything, everyone complains.

Drink plenty of fluids and stay in doors if you have air conditioners is the advice. I better not go to work until this vog lifts since they don't turn on the airconditioners until 10:00 o'clock every morning.

This comment doesn't resemble the usual, "A Big Aloha" from Northeast PA!

Plus, I don't think the "fleebs" needs to worry about staying in LA since he or she is some 350 miles or 6 hours by car from LA!

Hawaii, sorry about your VOG. 4 time 5 island tourist. My wife and I took a bus trip to New York City Saturday. Had a great time, the air is clean, took the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Saw ground zero and much more.

The X ban radar dome is a weather controlling experimental weapon which is causing the Vog, the Vog is not totally from our volcanic action. The X Ban Dome is a weapon of mass destruction creating the Vog to experiment eliminating people over a long period of time. The daily Vog you breathe in is equivalent to smoking 10 cartons of cigarettes per day. Think about cancer and other respertory illnesses you and your children will get. You might not smoke cigarettes but you are inhaling the equivalent of 10 cartons of cigarettes a day. Aloha.

Is it not enough they already poisoned the Aina and want to make genetically modified taro and poison our food but now they want to poison our air with the artificial vog. Now do you know why Hawaiians are mad and don't want anything to do with the U.S.
Praise the Kingdom of Hawaii.

What's so hard about plugging up a big hole that is spewing out sulfuric gas? Don't we have a problem in getting rid of our garbage? Big hole, garbage,- seems like a win win situation to me. Why pay some other states money to store our land fill items. We got one of the biggest holes to plug up right now.
