No surprise here; this lingle has been more of a fly-in-the-wheel than a genuine governor, here, when she's been in State.

Despite spin of open government, accountability and transparency all we got is an incompetent admin based upon loyalty to the gov.

I suppose now the Agitator General will have to get involved to defend her- all at taxpayer's expense.

Expect her cronies to comment that she's okay, it's all right for her to do as she pleases as if she's a dictator or Queen of Hawaii, or something!

It sounds like something we'd expect from G. W. Bush. Maybe ignoring the Constitution of the people is a GOP thing, or the beginning of fascist tendancies in a sick mind.

When branches of government disagree we have the judiciary to interpet the constitution. Lets wait for the Democratic Supreme Court to rule. I guess what the ruling will be? We all know what the ruling will be! Could they also take up the case of Senate President Hanabusa stacking the Judicial Selection Committee by appointing a recently retired attorney to the Commission clearly violating the spirit of the law. Oops, I forgot, the spirit of the law doesn't count! At least that is what the learned attorney will tell you!
There has to be one

I guess you lost track, but Chief Justice Ronald Moon is a Republican. Of course, the whole claim of a partisan court is paranoid drivel (you do not have a single fact to support your charge) but getting the basic facts right helps.

Which has exactly nothing to do with Lingle ignoring the Constitution to keep her buddies on the Board of Regents. But then I have news for you, Clarence Darrow: if you think Hanabusa broke the law, you can file a complaint. I guess that would cut into your moaning time.

The RCAC was set up as a political hack group to strip the governor of appointment power. The process was fine when the governor was a democrat. it was only when Lingle became governor that all these laws to take power away from the executive branch was made.
By the way, the State supreme court has in the past had no problem with "making" law from the bench rather than interpreting the law as written. It will probably be no different now. I guess we will now have a law that says that the legislative branch can pass laws to tell the executive branch what to do, how to do it and when. So much for separation of powers.

Once again this is another example of how the governor totally ignores the will of the people, let alone the Hawaii State Constitution. The RCAC has invested a lot of time and energy into building a group of qualified, experienced candidates.

I hope the voters remember incidents like this. All state workers who have been told to cut 10-15% of your department's budget and worrying about how you are to pay your mortgage, buy food or gas; all social service agencies and other organizations who have been desperately waiting for the governor to release their funding; all those who are wondering why the the economy is bad but the governor hasn't come out in public with a plan of action, remember what this administration has been like when you go to the polls in 2010 and she runs for another office! Enuf already!

It's a thing with Republican Governor's. Like the Governor of Alaska, another dictator.

Uh, she did get elected governor ... twice. So, obviously, she has the support of the voters.

Don't look at me. I voted for the other guy.
