Throw away your rubbish properly, and we wouldn't have to deal with this kind of issue in the first place. Now we have to pay the price, because of a few stupid people out there.

It's either stop the plastic bags or cut more trees down for paper bags.

I walk to China town about 4 times a week. Sometimes I buy something and carry the bag home. Sometimes I do not. I like the plastic bags.
Most of my weekly groceries are bought from Chinatown vendors or my local grocery stores around the downtown area. I buy very little on the military bases (I am retired military).
If this ban goes into place, I and my family, will protest it buy only buying from military bases and not supporting my local businesses. Even if the bases make us use reusable bags, I will boycott Hawaii businesses.
I like the people in town who I do business with but I have to show my disaproval in some way. This is it. None of my money will go to the state of Hawaii if I can help it.
I am sorry all you great people who I buyy from. Nothing against you, it is against ignorant laws.

I live in Honolulu and I do not know why it says Canada next to my name. I am so confused.
