The Pits need to be put down! Simple as that! I own two Pomeranians. And believe me, they are very well taken care of. I have the receipts to prove it! Any dog that is let out to JUST roam the neighborhood is in the wrong! Shame on you David Cox!!

They were not let out to roam you dumazz. And he never let them.out to roam. It was an accident plain and simple. He would never just let his dogs out to roam.

All pit bulls should be put in a wood chipper... the only good pit is a dead pit. The breed serves no purpose and anyone who would have one is an idiot.

Same was said about German sheppards, dobermans, rottweilers, and so on so on and so on you idiot. Terriers result in the most attacks in the world, what should be done about all the terrier breeds. Keep show your intellect you f_cking genius.

Why do we never hear of attacks by these breeds but every few months you hear of a person usually a child being attacked by a pit. They were bred to kill and if there is not a rat around to satisfy this urge then I guess a child will do. I’m not say that other breeds of dog do not bite people but pit bulls do it on a regular base and they usually do extreme damage. If there is a pit bull around my kids you will notice that I have my knife in my hand and I’m between the dog and my child.

An attack from a terrier might result in a bite, not death. Big difference.

Don't blame the breed! Any owner of ANY dog should be more responsible. I have owned pits for 25 years and have never had a bite much less a fight. If you are going to own a breed such as a pit, German Shepard, Rottweiler, Doberman, or so on keep an eye on your dog!!

If you own a dog that you have to watch all the time then you don't need that dog. Again, put the pits in a wood chipper and ban the breed and one problem will be gone.

It's not about the breed of the dog, it's how you raise and treat the dog.
A dog is only as loving as its owner.

What??? I'll bet your dog can write better than you, so is English your second language???

Still believe pit bulls should be banned and thrown in the wood chipper.

So I guess people should not have to watch their children all of the time either. If you own a dog, that is the responsibility that you have chosen. Maybe you should go in the wood chipper!

Pit bulls are good guard dogs, that's why they were bred to be more muscular, and aggressive than the average dog. It definitely takes a gentle hand and a lot of attention to make one sweet and very well behaved, though I've never seen it happen when someone adopted one who wasn't a puppy. Chows are actually the number one to attack people in this country. Any dog, when trained to attack, or neglected and forced to be aggressive to survive, is dangerous to people. Pits are more dangerous because they are a lot stronger and have wider clamping jaws. Banning a breed is not the answer, making sure people can give the breed the attention it needs at least not to be a danger, through classes or reference checks or something...is a better solution for all the pits who are good, and all the owners who have them responsibly.

and you also do not know what you are talking about....... They were nanny dogs in the 1800's. People used these dogs to watch over their children!

no air the problem wouldn't be gone because idiots would find another bred to blame! The only reason you hear so much about put attacks is because the media blasts it...... Most of the attacks are reported as a pit mix, when in actuality there is no pit in that dog. It just happens to have characteristics of a pit, so it gets the blame

So we in act breed specific laws and any dog that looks like that Breed will be destroyed...... So let's look at it this way, because with all the idiots running thugs it could happen....... Jeffery dahmer, white, approx 6 foot tall, approx 170lbs, blonde hair, blue eyes, serial killer....... Brad Pitt......white, approx 6 foot tall, approx 170lbs, blue eyes...... Does that make him a serial killer too because he looks like someone that is????? Noooo. But you people want to blame all pits or pit looking dogs and have them banned and destroyed...... It's really unfair. Each case needs to be examined individually.... This is just another example of discrimination at a different level. And this could easily be another breed, but pits or pit look alikes are news grabbers..........my pits are very loyal, but not aggressive..... I do believe that I someone was trying to attack me or my children, he would try to protect me. But on a daily basis when people come over, people hes not met, that dog is like a little kid wanting all their attention......please dont judge all pits on incidents like these..... Thy are unfortunate, but they happen..... As do any type of accident. You shouldn't condem the whole breed
