My brother, Lonny Ritter was murdered while sitting in his recliner. He was an extremely defensless man who was dying of starvation due to a medical problem. The two suspected of killing him were 2 young men whom Lonny was trying to help. The motive appears to be that there was an argument regarding the music being too loud. This is an interesting case in that the two were arrested in Alameda County before the authorities new of the murder. More information on this case has been written up in the Mariposa Gazette

Hello Sandra
My wife and I own a place adjacent to Lonny's. We liked him. He had a fascinaating personality, and was always ready with great stories. We talked to him often when we walked our dogs past his house. ** What happened to him was sickening, and I hope the kids responsible end up with the long prison terms they deserve. It is tragic that they ended their own lives as well as Lonny's, but it is clear that at least the one who knew Lonny the most is a heartless man.** Mainly, I just wanted to let you know that we thought your brother was a great guy. We wish you our condolences; sorry it has taken so long to send them to you. Will & Mandy Meecham
