Good because this county does not need another huge train wreck of a middle school like West Fairmont Middle. leave Mannington Fairview Barrackville and Monongah Middle Schools alone please.

#3 Aug 16, 2010 get what you pay for. If you want "top-notch" teachers and really nice schools. You got to pay for it. In the long run it will help our area. But you're not interested in the long run are you? You are interested in getting through life paying as little as possible. Thanks for keeping future generations in mind, my man.

Buck...I agree with you 100% I would love to see the BOE leave Mannington, Barrackville,Fairview, and Monongah alone. I think they should present a bond to the citizens of our county proposing to raise taxes, but with the stipulation that the money would be used to renovate these old schools. I think the people in this area would agree to that. Sadly, the BOE is looking at the numbers. It's costly to maintain all of these little schools. Therefore, they want one BIG school. It's a mistake and does not have the interest of the children at heart.
