saunders needs to open his eyes and really see what goes on at this school. i guess we will have to have a disaster before some one comes forward as a leader to make the necessary changes. the children deserve better our town deserves better. stop hiding the truth and deal with the real problems that are present.

My kid came home from this assembly saying it was about some girl who got her head chopped off! I didn't see that mentioned in the Times West Virginia coverage.

My daughter went to WFMS and was bullied. My daughter is quiet and shy and so she's an easy target. I took her out of that school when I found that the Dean did NOT talk to the principal or teachers about this girl as he claimed he did. My daughter was hit on the bus and the bus driver said it was a school issue and to talk to the principal. The school said the bus driver handles it. The bus driver ultimately told me to pray about it. So I went to the BOE and got nothing. I transferred her out of there.

From the beginning, I was talking to the Dean at WFMS. He said he talked to the principal, and to my daughters teachers and that it wouldn't happen again. I asked him if he talked to the girls parents and he said no, that the mother of the girl was just as hard to deal with, and was a loud, rude person. I did not feel my daughter was safe and so I transferred her to another school, and took her back to WFMS one day to clean out her locker. The principal asked me what was going on, and surprisingly that was the FIRST TIME he'd heard ANYTHING about it. I went to her teacher and she too said she had no idea and that NO ONE talked to her about it either. I don't know why things happened the way they did, but I do wonder how many kids or parents are ignored when they ask for help. We hear so much about bullies nowadays. The school doesn't want a bad rep so they handle it quietly or sweep it under the rug.

I'm not blaming all of it on the schools, just my single experience.Sometimes their hands are tied with what they can do. Sometimes they do everything they CAN do, with no results. Sometimes they extinguish the situation, and sometimes it blows up. But sometimes they turn their head and do or say nothing about it. Are the parents always to blame? I read an article in the newspaper one time, someone said it always falls back on the parents. Always?

I thought that the policeman Donny Neal ended bullying in all Marion County Schools a long time ago?

Just check the bus room on any given day and you'll see older kids relentlessly picking on and ganging up on the smaller kids. The staff is oblivious.

When my child was bullied and beat up at WFMS, I was told she started it and that police man said that if we pushed this my daughter would be charged criminally. Charge her with bleeding on the bathroom floor, I guess. That's how it goes when someone "who matters" beats up you kid.

When my daughter was bullied then beat up at WFMS, that dare policeman told me, my girl could have avoided this and that if we insisted in pushing this she would be charged in juvy court, for bleeding on the bathroom floor, I guess. I guess that is how it goes when people "who matter" beat your kid up.

I remember seeing one child that was beat up on the news. I knew the girl that beat that girl up, she recently moved away, and she WAS and probably still is a bully. But what people don't understand, is that bullies never stand alone. They always have a posse behind them backing them so it's never a fair fight. A lot of parents don't understand that and tell their kid to stand up to the bully. And you know the big thing now is that these fights are being recorded by phones and shown to other kids who laugh about it. It's sickening.

It had nothing to do with the people who matter. That Dare cop just didn't want to have to do an actual investigation for a change. Too busy trying to run around and look important.

Thats what 75% of the FCPD do---Try to look important pick on the same people over and over while the really bad ones keep getting away with everything As for WFMS worst school ever! ADMINISTRATIONWISE for sure and the Principal always backs the teachers even when wrong& mostly turns a blind eye to everything& passes the buck to his subordinates

What a bunch of couch quarterbacks. It is so easy to sit back and judge. How about make a change in your life. Get off your lazy butts, turn off the computer, put your cell and quit being part of the problem look at being part of the fix. For the most part the kids in this county are not the problems its the parents who have nothing better to do than gossip all and create problems. How about starting at home and raise your kids right and then the schools don't have such a problem. And then when there is a problem help fix it dont give the administration the "oh no not my kids bullshit or they need and IEP or they have ADHD". You should all know what they say about excuses. I would bet that if you really look at it in the true sense of the word there is probabily one true case of bullying in the school system every year. If your kid runs their mouth and gets beat up that's not bullyed that's got what you deserved. Finally I would also bet that for every 1 person who is not happy with the way police or the aministration handled sometihing in the school there are 800 that did.

First of all, learn how to spell if you are going on a public forum to rant. Second, I think only one specific police officer was mentioned here, and he does need to do some investigating. I am all for parents doing their job at home with the kids and that they shouldn't run their mouths. However, you are not in touch with reality if you don't think bullying is going on in the schools. Not every kid can defend themselves, thus the reason they are being picked on. Some of the teachers don't want to deal with the situation either, and it gets worse. So why don't you get your facts straight know it all?
