Why should the Board of Education pay for everything at the Gym? They pay rent and utilities for a place they only use part of the time. They don't own it. When I rented places the landlord (owner) payed for things that needed done. Now that I'm a home owner I have to pay for things that need done to my property. What's the logic here?

The Board of Education pays enough to use the gym for phyical education classes nine months out of the year. By the mayor's logic why don't they pay for a marble fountain spitting out water in front of city hall?

You are so right. The landlord is suppose to pay for the repairs.
The mayor might want to hire another policeman. We have enough of them not doing their duties. I don't understand how drugs pushers and thieves get away with so much. They pretty well know who it is, but nothing is being done. Let the thieves and drugs dealers pay for new bleachers by paying fines and doing time for their crimes. I would like to know how a man could abuse his kid with cat feces sandwiches and duct tape be out and around children. Make him work and take his pay and buy bleachers.

After the parade, Andy was directing traffic at the bridges and a truck about 4 cars back was setting, burning his tires until the smoke rolled. If he had let up on his brakes or his brakes didn't hold, he would have hit at least 3 or 4 cars. Why was that allowed?

If memory serves me correctly, how about the fair board returning the bleachers that were removed from the field many years ago. Remember when people used to work with, instead of against one another. Yet that was a better, vanished time.

When you consider how much money the Board of Education has invested in East Side High School, West Side High School, West Fairmont Middle School, and Jayenne, I don't think dropping some "chump change" into bleachers is an outlandish request. When was the last time the BOE purchased new lockers for MMS? 1930? How about painting the hallways of MMS? 1990? Let's look at the asphalt on the playground of MMS. It's been unfinished for at least 15 years? Look at the paint falling off the windows and entrance ways of our school. It's a crime.

Please don't defend the board office to me. They WANT MMS to fall apart! It would give them an excuse to consolidate. The citizens of Mannington should DEMAND that the BOE invests in OUR school. We deserve nothing less.

You dumb*sses should be asking Babette Simms, "What IS in the budget for Mannington Middle School?" I'll bet nothing has been set aside for our beloved building. Sad thing is, the citizens of Mannington accept this. Why an army of Mannington citizens have not invaded the BOE is beyond my understanding.

Since when does the bleachers belong to the fair board? Where can I find that information?

I've been looking for some event bleacher for rental. I think it would be really cool to have a bleacher when doing an event. http://www.floridableacherrentals.com/rental-...
