A teenager was charged with murder, assault and aggravated DUI after a crash in Marion County .

This is yet another sad story of life taken too soon because someone wanted to drink.

A teenager was charged with murder, assault and aggravated DUI after a crash in Marion County. The crash happened just after 11:00 Saturday on Beech Fork Road, eight miles east of Lebanon.

Police say a Dodge pickup was traveling west on Beech Fork, when the driver lost control in a curve and left the road, hit a culvert and ejected a passenger who was riding in the bed of the pickup. The truck then hit a barn and a tree before coming to rest on the shoulder of the road.

The passenger identified as 22-year old Cambron Raikes of Lebanon died at the scene. The driver, who is a juvenile and an additional passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

I totle agree so many drinking and driving is out here and i have 2 daughters and iam lucky they dont and wont touch it and wont ride with no one who been drinkin i feel sorry for the boy n his family sad

I'm scared to let mine leave the driveway now days and that is not a good feeling. I've always told mine to call me ANYTIME of the night or day if she gets caught out without a driver or if her driver decides gets wasted. I'd rather pick her up at a bar than at the morgue.

Well from the story I can conclude that all three of these kids were probably drinking, and the poor man that died was obviously a friend to the one who was driving.. That kid has to live with his friends death for the rest of his life. I'm not saying it's right and that to 'live and learn' especially with drinking and driving are the way to go, but on top of serving jail time, he will live with this death, and it's not a stranger he hit on the road, it's a little closer to home.
