Just give another 20 million to Jim Irsay. That will surely make the downtown pick up a little bit more and before you know it, we'll be rolling in cash.

That is, assuming the vast financial benefit claimed for pro sports teams here is not just a bunch of hooey. Which maybe it is because we are constantly broke (except when a team threatens to leave when we can find ten's of millions lying around).

maybe the colts will act as policemen during off season. cant you just see it now "oh dear i am so happy! payton gave me a ticket!"....... or that saturday guy on patrol every sunday....

They will have to cut their budgets by 5% but it will mean there still be the same amount of police on the streets?
Of course there will be, they will just pick up additional hours on their afterhours security jobs.

Maybe thats why councilmen Plowmen was soliciting bribes, He was just trying to make up additional revenue shortfalls.
