What a disgrace. Learn some proper internet etiquette.

Alcohol is NO excuse. And who cares how long it took her to act. If he threatened her, he threatened her. Period. It's time we stop making excuses for the natives that give us bad name. It's time to take some responsibility for our lives and hold ourselves to a higher standard.

aint nobody going to do that you know everybody to stupid ....... everybody lazy and dont know how to act....they think its good to let everything out in the open no metter whut it is well we do at least because everybody else covers there suff up and we might as well just let people know hiow life really is ...we aint rich or classy or safisticated.... when peope start treating us with respect then thats when we change when our so called goverment takes action and the people that are trying to lead us actually try hard enough to get off the rezervation and go speak for us all over and let us be heard thats what they need to do see i cant really do anything since im a minor and all this...but you know im totally off subject i dont care i want to be heard i want to make a difference on my rezervation not because its a bad place because to many people suffer........ i am a recovering alcoholic i know what its like okay i grew up around it everyday ...i grew up to fast and im ot happy of that but at least it made me realize that we are strong in a way even thoiugh people run us down we try but just not hard enough ............. Yours truly

julie lies as much as the people she convicts. maybe she should sit down and realize that when people are under the influance they do and say things, not that it is an excuse but i dont see her on any of the county or reservation boards to better the community, she is here to convict and nothing more.

"i want to make a difference on my rezervation"

you can start by studying your grammar and actually using real words. be intelligent, then people will notice for the right reasons.

Well said Rez.

DLarea,
"when peope start treating us with respect then thats when we change"
What nonsense. Wake up!
1.You need to respect yourself before others can respect you.
2. Respect is EARNED, not given.

The "I'm being oppressed" and "Give me entitlements" attitudes are exactly why there has been little progress in the Native communities.

Stand up on your own 2 feet and make YOUR life better YOURSELF. That's how you EARN respect.

Realistically I am here to do a job. My job is to convict those who commit crimes. When someone threatens another, specifically me, for doing my job and putting criminals in jail or prison if necessary then so be it. For your information I wasn't drunk that evening as I had just come back from the Rod & Gun benefit in Bejou and had stopped in Mahnomen and happened to see a friend of mine in there and had only been there a short while before this incident occurred. I can remember exactly what happened that evening including everyone who was sitting 4 chairs of myself. If I were that drunk I wouldn't have known that. And if you knew anything about the law, a complaint is the charging document that got filed 3 weeks later, the information was given to law enforcment much sooner then that because a decision had to be made to transfer the prosecution to another county due to that conflict of interest in my office. Therefore, the actual charging determination was made by a neutral party not myself.
For your information I sleep excellantly at night because I know that I am doing my job to keep my community safe for everyone to live in. And as to whether I am human, well the jury is still out on that because I can get a lot of work done and keep on ticking 24/7 -- 52 weeks a year. Maybe I am more of a machine then a human in that concern because I will do whatever I have to do to ensure that every citizen within Mahnomen County has a better, safer place to live and work in.
People really do get what they deserve, I do believe in that. I believe in karma. If you really have a problem maybe you shouldn't leave anonymous messages but be bold. I don't have a problem letting people know how I feel but I believe in discussing things civilly and threatening to do physical harm to someone.
As for "is it for jason?" I am not sure what you are really referring to with regard to that matter. I only assume that you are talking about someone whom I work with, but I don't do anything for anyone just for that reason. I stand on my own two feet because that is what an educated adult does.

There is a typo in the 2nd to the last paragraph it should have read "I don't have a problem letting people know how I feel but I believe in discussing things civilly and NOT threatening to do physical harm to someone."

Oh, is this about what he said she said. Deny Deny Deny. Julie Bruggeman you are not lying again. You shouldn't be making up these kind of stories about people. You were probably so drunk that night you were hearing and seeing things. You know the laws, lying is perjury, why would you say crap like this and then try to charge someone with it. The person who Julie said this about. Wake up DENY DENY DENY You can't prosecute without clear evidence. Get educated Julie, not everyone likes the way you lie in the courts about people, to up the charges. What goes around comes around.
