Authorities: Brookfield teen held girl captive for eight days in home, severely beat her

A Madison County teen has been charged after authorities say he unlawfully held a teenage girl against her will and beat her over the course of eight days during the month of February.

As i read all these comments,I can see this topic is divided probably due to being related to one of the parties involved with this issue,myself being an outsider ie,(not a native brookfielder)I can have an open mind to this issue,first off a man never has the right to lay his hands on a woman in violance,second there is a photo which was taken of this young lady by her attacker on day #3 which he text out to people i was text this photo of her 3 days after she escaped,in this photo she is severly beaten about the face and arms,swollen black eyes,and bruses covering her arms,it is very disturbing that people got this text on day #3 and did not report it,another disturbing issue is if my kid had a young woman in the house and was beating her and holding her hostage,I sure the hell would know about it and there is nothing that anyone can say to me that would change my mind on that,the last thing i will say here is this poor young woman held against her will,beaten,and mentally abused she will be tramatized by this for many years to come,if we can all support her and and be good neighbors it will go a long way in her recovery,and as for her alleged attacker the courts will deal with the issue of guilt or innocent.just an outsiders thoughts.

Texting photos of this girl and no one reported it? What a disgrace! I guess I shouldn't be surprised because this IS Brookfield, where the victim is blamed for incest, rape, child abuse, etc. Even if you do report it, the witnesses lie and judges just let them off.
