Note the following: no more tax revenue will ever be received again from the creamery building. Similarly, the county has acquired several other properties on irvine street that will no longer produce tax revenue. The city does the same. Note, further, that fewer and fewer privately owned spaces are available for businessea to locate in downtown. In addition , at a time when unemployment is high and worries about job loss are omnipresent, the county will have no choice (in order to maintain its revenue stream) but to raise taxes on remaining property in private hands. Issue remains: how much property do the city and county and library board and on and on government entities need to own?

This is probably some under the table deal like the last mess that Ed the dumbass screwed us with led in force by our resident joke, Kent.

Bottom line, and it matter not to me only my opinion. If it can be screwed up, Kent and Ed can do it.

I like how the magistrate said he woke up in the middle of the night wrestling with the decision and it will be a parking lot. Why do we get rid of history and is this not a historical building? Also and Mr. Clark take it upon himself to make a bid at auction without notifying any magistrates? Guess Ed will have his hands involved somehow

OK lets get this straight. Judge Clark sees the auction sign on Friday, sends Curry to bid on and actually buys the property on Saturday and then asks the court for permission to buy it on Tuesday. Who does he think he is? Then bigger than that, nobody but Barger has the balls to stand against it. Greg King just smiles and votes yes but we all know that was an Arbuckle Lane trade off but then Billy Ray Hughes all but priased him for it. What the hell is going on here?

The purchase seems legit. What will probably happen is RL curry inc,Randy curry,(one man and a pickup truck)Will get the job of demolishing the building for some ridiculus price. That is where a big slice of our tax money will go under the table to judge limp dick. The magistrates will sit on their ass and do nothing about it. They are just glad to be here.

For what it's worth, The county judge directed a county employee to bid on the property. After the county employee was the successful bidder, the county magistrates ratified the purchase. That is: no authority to buy was there before the purchase. The county judge appears arrogant and dismissive of criticism. Where does that come from?

Actually most of it went to a guy who sells it and some of it is being used in other houses in the area as a matter of fact. They took the doors and a bunch of other stuff like mantles, etc out of there as well. Same with the church. They made sure to salvage what was salvageable.

Well, the construction fence is up and I hear the building is coming down. I hear a new addition to the jail is going to be built there.

ronnie devere tried for years to get that building tore down but there was sue chenault from historical society wanted to polish a turd and while everything else around the jail new ct house annex's on 1st street and the one next to jail all looked nice-n-new. so the story "gossip" for a while was that they would renovate the miller building and make it offices for the jail and build on the back for the jail. BAD IDEA,that place is crumbling every day and just nasty inside. they should DEMOLISH IT, to bad they couldnt do it when a good jailer was in office like ronnie devere. I hate that they waited till this self proclaimed idiot is in office "doug thomas. wow he's a idiot richmond and if you go talk with him you will see. thats another topic
