I am all for the new casino for madera ca We need the monies it will bring into madera county, the jobs, rise property values. We have had no crime with the casinos we now have. I really belive that that is not a problem. I say lets go for it and get madera county into the 21st century.

It is my understanding that the North Fork Mono Indians are behind plans for this new casino.
Mono Hot Springs Resort - where you find the North Fork Mono Indians.
Owner of Mono Hot Springs Resort - Jeffry C. Winslow - who talked of secret plans with the Mono Indians back in 2000.

Why would Fresno's District Attorney, court administration and Mayor Alan Autry cover up Mr. Winslow's trail of .... see for yourself. Click here:

ANSWER: Answer: It is behind the mysterious, secret water diversion taking place.

Things may finally be starting to add up.

Why would anyone want to not support this project. It will bring important monies to Madera, it will create much needed jobs. Bring in visitors to spend money in Madera. I cant see the traffic getting any worse. I think that those that are against it are for religous reasons. This is america and I am not against religon, but I refuse to let others force there views on my family. It is bad enough that every other day someone from some church is knocking on my door, and if not on my door standing outside all the stores. Madera is in trouble fund wise and will be losing many important programs that help the elderly, schools, police, fire depts etc. partly because of the property taxes dropping. We need the funds folks. Please bring the casino/hotel to Madera.....

It seems to me that with such a high unemlployment rate in the valley that this casino would generate several jobs. Not to mention the thousands of dollars generated for additional services. This casino would generate county monies to aid not only the county budget, but also funding new services for the people living in the area. We need this casino!!!

If the BIA allows this casino then lets get historic, every acre in Calif has some tribal tie. This project will open the door for casino's in every urban area. The remote casino's in this state are struggling now, wait until we have one on every corner in San Jose, Los Angles, San Francisco, etc. I have not seen one new business open up around our local casino's In fact people drive past local resturants to get to the casino. Jobs sure where does the money come from you the loser. We need industry companies that buy steel and paint that sell added value to raw materials not a casino that sucks money out of family budgets, sending kids to school hungry, adding stress to marriages, causing more children to be left home alone. We need that dirty, dusty, noisy, increased truck traffic thing called "industry"

Yes we need this project. There are only 2 fire stations in the city of Madera. The talk was a combined county/city station in the casino's area to cover the growing northside of the city. Every year its cut back your budget, folks, there is no more budget to cut back! We need this project to go through !!!!

Ya who! Looks like the project is going to get
a chance! It only took 6 years....I just hope
they get it moving and started. The sooner the
Casino is up and running the sooner
the monies will come to Madera....And yes I live in Madera and in fact own 3 homes here. I am not an outsider.

Pros and cons of the casino..... lets do cons first..... having to deal people who are against casinos....... OK now pros..... jobs, people being able to support families, getting rid of kids going hungry because welfare don't pay enough, people who no longer want to be on welfare will have a fighting chance, city of Madera will gain much needed money.... so for all thoes people who are against the casino money doesn't buy happiness but it sure does help.... so no offence but really you all need to shut your mouths and let them build this casino so the rest of us can apply for much needed Jobs so we can support out families..

It took me over two years to find a job. Having a casino here will not only provide jobs at the casino, but it will open up opportunities for restaurants, hotels, shopping etc.since it's a hop skip and a jump off the 99 freeway and right in the Madera area. Will be nice to be able to drive to the casino for dinner and a night of fun within ten minutes rather than 40min to an hour. Let's get it built!

We are waiting for Gov Brown to approve. I believe he has until Sept of this year to make a choice. Pls send him a email and let him know you support the project. Today the Fresno Bee is trying to say that we should not have the casino and it should not be approved. I say Fresno needs to MYOB! So sick of folks that do not live in Madera trying to
tell Madrea what to do....

It would be a real boost for the economy to have a casino built in Madera. We have so many many opportunities that seem to just "slip away" and now we have another opportunity that will provide jobs for hundreds and hundreds of people. Not only will the casino provide jobs, but the surrounding businesses will benefit as well. It will have no more impact on the environment than any other business (eg shopping center) and I am sure will be better maintained. Let's not waste any more time than we already have and get this project going. We need SOMETHING here in Madera.
