Volunteers to harvest vegetables to fight hunger in metro Detroit
Volunteers will harvest about 26,000 pounds of surplus corn, beans, peppers, squash and melons to help battle hunger in the Detroit area.

The average Detroiter won't be running 35 miles up the road to Bruce Township to harvest fruit. (Although they may be harvesting at the homes of those who are 35 miles away for the day.)
