If Fluvanna does do anything with their side of Zion Crossroads it will be more industrial blight which is what you see now i.e. trash and recycling facilities, propane tanks, contactor facilities, etc....

I would like to see stores like Walmart in the Louisa, Mineral area. I find that the drive to fredericksburg or Zions Crosswords is lengthy when you need household items, or things for gifts, There is not many places to get good gifts in Louisa County. They would not have to have a grocery store in them also although some items are cheaper at Walmart than in the grocery stores. As far as restaurants a few more options would be nice. Another good idea would be entertainment areas such as a Funland, movie theater, or even bowling.

Please not a WalMart in Mineral or the town of Louisa! How about a Target instead! Unfortunately the only “department type” store Louisa has is Pebbles, where like Walmart; everything is made in China.

As far as grocery stores, Food Lion has a death hold on central Virginia, a Martins or Kroger would be ideal. As far as restaurants; fast food wise: Taco Bell; I doubt seriously any high end restaurant would move to Louisa...water issues.

Louisa needs to clean its act up before any retailer or restaurant would considering opening shop there...it's filthy, the roads are littered and most in dreadful condition due to VDOT funding cuts. Few if any citizens have "city water" most are on drilled wells.

No doubt the BOS will push this economic development plan through-the county need revenue.
