Augusta County tried to implement a similar ordinance but failed. One of the strongest arguments centered on the need for a noise ordinance. Vehicles traveling past one's home with the music so loud it vibrates the windows is much more a nuisance than a barking dog.

I agree with MSC - a barking dog is nothing compared to the vehicles that pass whose music rattles your windows. And worse yet is the guy next to you in traffic whos radio is so loud you hear him from three lanes over. Get with it and get some noise violations on those people. A barking dog is a delightful noise when you live in the rural areas. If's is a problem -- kindly discuss it with your neighbors. Nine times out of ten a solution can be found!

Invest your money in Hearing Aid companies. When these Boomcar owners get up in age they will all be deaf. Same goes for glasses & contacts after watching movies on cellphone screens!! Cha-ching!!

If my dog is barking long and loud enough where it bothers my neighbors and I have not checked on her please check on me and make sure nothing is wrong with me.

I have had this problem and it's not funny. My neighbors dog stays more at my house than his the only problem is asking them to keep it at their house . They act like your the one in the wrong and we are not. But that's ok when the dog bites it will be time to take action we have pictures and video of this animal on our property and video of them taking it over their fence. So it's proof that they know their dog is always over at my house. The reason this bothers us is there was trouble before with their pets biting innocent children and this is not going to happen again.
