the best way to find out about a person running for sheriff is talk to the people who had the most contact so all the ones i talk to says steve cook will be the same as guider it will not make much of a difference i talk to the ones who go to jail,court or had to go to the justic center alot these are the one who know most of the secerts of most of the people in office i have live in loudon county all of my live and i know alot that i will never tell just like other and we only talk to other that we known for years so far cook is not doing so good with the lower class of people like myself but very few will vote (i do )

tony aikens i went to school with plus i know his father i would not vote for -guider is never around unless he is getting his picture taken cissy i have talk to once she was nice and listen but was hard to get to mike i know a little but i don't belive he ready to be sheriff the rest i don't know enought about

My guess would be that it's that 2nd district highway-pork congressman, Duncan, who endorsed Aikens in last year's city council race.

I'm hoping that's who it is, because I've been wanting to write something about those funny rings on their hands. That would be my opportunity.

Not sure if most of the people you are talking about would have anything good to say about either man.You seem to always point out the bad things about Steve cook the most maybe that's your point I don't know.Before I vote for anybody I will get to know them myself and then make up my own mind.Not let what somebody says make it for me.

Steve Cook will talk to anyone at anytime.I think if everyone will just take the time to talk to him they will see he is the right man for the job.

Let me start off by saying that this is just a blog and no one can really see the person on this side of that keyboard! All this arguing back and forth at the beginning of this chat, Did you ever stop to think that "Cissy Chapman" might not really be her? Wow didnt think of that. I know her personally and you can say what you want to about her but you will never be the type of person,WOMAN, or human being that she is! I have lived in Loudon all my life and I know how things are around here. I have family in the Justice system and cousins who are Police Officers... saying that I will say that it is your own right to think what you want to about anyone. My heart and gut tells me a that the NEWMAN boys already act like they run things so what does it matter if Steve gets in Office! The Newman Boy are cocky, rude, and when they really should have stood up for the PEOPLE, they back down and didnt want to get in the middle of it! I am a Guider Supporter and will not hurt me if you comment back that you are not! I have worked Guiders Post on election day and I will next year. Please realize that this is a very small town and the things that ppl remember the most are always the bad things and there is going to be nothing to change that.

First let me apologize to the people of Loudon County for embarrassing you. I worked for over 17 years under the political gun of the Establishment. When I voiced my disagreement to some occurrences in the Department I was blackballed. This is Politics and I lost. Let me just say that if you make enough calls and pull enough favors you can make anything happen. The people that know me, know that I am not a thief as it would seem. I was found guilty and I will take my punishment. I did not have thousands of dollars to make everything go away on a technicality. Fact: I was using a LCUB meter that I found ( tape from Patrol Car missing). My parents old house was experiencing electrical problems,(power dimming and getting bright, and sparks from the weather head during a wind storm). Complained to Fort Loudoun Electric three times, once in person. Response was that it is my responsibility from the weather head in to the house. 3 accounts with Fort Loudoun Electric all on automatic bank draft ( not behind on payment). meter was not strapped with screwdrivers or nails, which is easy. Only thing left was bad meter or bad connections at weather head. Everybody knows that if a meter quits reading they will eventually send a tech out to check it. I used the new meter after I found it to keep track of the electricity used. Bad decision to use LCUB meter instead of buying one on ebay for 18.00 (YES). We moved back into the old house in February and I did not want my family to burn up. We have already lost one baby from SIDS, I was not going to lose my whole family. Fort Loudoun Utility knew about meter two weeks before showing up with Law Enforcement. This was to set the stage. At no time did I deny using the meter or deny what for. All audio tapes missing. 9 witnesses, no subpoena. 2356 kilowatts @.8 or .10 = around 235.60. I paid $922.54 on the spot and they took my money and sent a line crew out and fixed the short in the wires at the connection to the weather head (witnesses). The Blount County Sheriff's Office closed the case when a civil settlement was paid. Fort Loudoun Electric General Manager Bob Long at the time received a call from (you fill in the blank) and ask to push this as far as they could. District Attorney Mike Flynn also received a call to do the same. Lawyer's husband hooked on Oxy's and caught for DUI. Unknown to me until after trial. A full house don't beat a straight flush, I lose. I am not perfect and I am no better than anybody else. I will take my punishment, unlike some. No, I have not asked Steve for a job nor will I, But you can bet that I will support him in any way I can. I would like to see Honesty and Integrity restored to the Sheriff's Office. I was not one of the "Good Ole Boys" and never was. The other 17 years of indiscretions I will keep to myself, as for me being the victim of extortion, Political Repression or Official Oppression TCA 39-16-403, Conspiracy, and Malicious Prosecution. Who cares Right. All because I wanted to be Sheriff some day, and or supported someone else, I was on the wrong side of the fence. Heard that somewhere before. No Thanks.

Dewayne, I must say I appreciate your telling your side of the story. Everyone knows who had it in for you at the SD, and when he wants something done, he usually pulls strings to make it happen. At least you can take solace in the fact that if anything else happens with you, maybe new investigator Jeff Russell will be on the case. What a joke. That Department is going to Hades in a handbag. I always said I hated change, but Steve's name is looking much better to me now for the next election.

Dewayne, I sure do appreciate your letter. It should clear up alot of things(asking Steve for a job,etc.) for a lot of people. Some people, probably not. They are going to think bad of Mr. Cook no matter what is said and by whom. I will say that I have sure changed my mind and I will be backing Mr. Cook for Sheriff of Loudon County. GO STEVE!!!!!!!

Mr. Drinnen, I think we all have seen his higness acting in the capacity of the city and the county by hurting innocent people with some of his mean ways. I saw him hurt my friend at city hall to the point that she gave up her job because she saw the writing on the wall with him and his good ol' boys there. He acts like he had nothing to do with it but if you watch the tape, you can see how they planned to sabotage her at the meeting. We all know and understand what you are going through and don't worry, we all know who the dang crooks are areound here.
