Does this mean there will be no salary increases for any county employee including elected officials and ALL hired employees? Anybody know the answer?

The regular county employees got the shaft. no pay raise, but a 3% insurance raise. Not to mention the pathetic insurance they are paying for. The mayor and other elected officials did recieve a pay raise as did the county comissioners. A BIG change is needed is our county government. We are in desperate need of someone that cane manage the county tax dollars.

Chip who? Oh thats right, the Chamber Guy. Thats all we need special interest running county government.

I have a better idea. Sharon Yarbrough for County Mayor. She has experience and the guts to open her mouth and she knows how government is supposed to work.

It's difficult to beat an "incumbent." Many people who vote do so by name recognition and the attitude that if the County hasn't gone bankrupt (yet)and their taxes haven't increased, we must be doing all right.
Not to mention the propaganda and "spin" that comes out at election time that only results in us being led closer and closer to the cliff, year after year, by the same old group of politicians.

Did you know that if you call the election office, and ask the names of incumbents, they won't tell you?

I guess the elections budget is doled out by commissioners so what do you expect.

Keeping the incumbents in office is the name of the game, thats why I don't plan to vote for any incumbents. You've seen their names in the other blogs.

And with the $40,000 the commission would save by cutting their pay in half, they can give the money to the School Board to fund the SROs in the Loudon schools.

Hell we even could send Pat Pullups or Kathy Fly be Knight to the schools and let them babysit the kids, At least we would get some work out of them...
