I want to know how loudon county ran wes hall off. He is making Monroe county look bad. We need help. We're going to do whatever it takes. Him and his sorry sons need to go. Every since they have been in this county they have done nothing but lied and cheated to get an article. He cant stand it when some one who has authority tells them to stay back until we can get the patients removed or get the scene under control. I have seen where they have tried to charge fire dept. members with assault and petty stuff like that. If anyone can help please let us know.

Nobody ran Wes Hall out of Loudon County. The only way Wes Hall left Loudon County was because someone bought the paper from him. I figured he'd still be here if that hadn't happened. Wes may have ruffled a few feathers while he was here, but he always told the truth, no matter who you were, or who you were related to. I don't see anyone running him off.

I agree. I wish we still had him up here in Loudon County. At least he let us know what really was going on instead of whitewashing it. Van Shaver helps us too but if we had just one more publishing stuff for us it might scare the crooks so bad they wouldn' even want to run for elective office. Come back Wes if you get tired of Monroe County.

The News Herald is too busy pandering to the advertisers and doesn't want to tell all the facts and Dan Bell won't write any stories. All Dan Bell can do is repeat whatever is said on a police report. He can pick on Joe 6 pack but he stays away from stories about city hall or corrupt government.

Wes Hall is so full of crap, if he had an enima, he'd weigh 10 pounds. The problem most people had with Wes wasn't that he reported the news, which he did, but that he embellished the truth most of the time. He went out of his way to see how many people he could embarrass. He would get in the way of law enforcement and EMS trying to do their job. Imagine your teenage daughter has been in a bad wreck. EMS is trying to save her life, and Wes is over their shoulder taking pictures for the shock value for the front page on his paper. I know most of you do not care, because it's not your family...right? Imagine if it was. Wes is out to make a dollar...everyone else be damned. Loudon County needs him about like Doyle Arp needs another term.

Do tell what has Wes Hall "embellished"? He always told the TRUTH, didn't embellish anything. I've never heard of him "over their shoulder taking pictures for the shock value for the front page on his paper." Granted he did have some shocking photos, but if some of those photos saved someone's life because they saw what drunk driving or reckless driving does then he made a difference. Oh and if he "emabrrassed" someone it was because they deserved to be embarrassed. He did not so out of spite. Sounds like you were embarrassed in his paper.

Loudon County needs a newspaper and at least Wes Hall told on everyone, nothing like Dan Bell who only picks on Joe 6-pack and then tells us what a fine job some of our local officials are doing. I guess he doesn't want to rock the boat and report the news now that he gets a steady pay check from city hall and LCUB.

Gosh, it seems I stepped on a relative of Wes' toes. Wes is about the same as an ambulance chasing attorney. I don't see the point of arguing with a bunch of dolts who sing his praises. I also will not argue any merits (if there were any) of Dan Bell. Both are worthless in their own right. It is a free country still, for the moment. And I have my opinion, you have yours. As for his "shocking photos", been there and witnessed it. I have seen the police almost take him to jail for getting in the way (and for running blue lights on his vehicle, which is illegal unless you are the police, and he most definitely is not). As for being embarrassed... nope. As far as I know, I was never in his paper. But I never really felt like giving him the quarter to pay for it. I got my toilet paper at Walmart.

It's obvious that you don't know Wes. He never used a blue light. He had a GREEN light which is not illegal. Never was threatened with going to jail for getting in the way because he never got in the way. If you talk to most of the cops that has ever worked with him you will find that out.

Me too..and I went thru high school with him. He is a very kind, humble, and honest man. I was in politics and never had a problem with him. It's the people that do not do public service the correct way that he has a problem with. He will bring that out about you if you do not serve the public honestly, unselfishly, and adequately. Wes reports the news and lets his readers know whe things are wrong. I always did not agree with him but I respected him. If there was a rat in city hall or the court house, he would sniff it out let everybody know about it. Sorry if you were that rat. You shoulda known better is all I can say about you :O)
