What, pray tell, is ANYONE doing on Glendora Mountain Road at 12:56 AM?
It's not like you get lost going home off of Foothill Blvd. or were trying to find a shortcut to Mt. Baldy City...
GMR is not forgiving of fools (as many inexperienced, inattentive, and inadequate drivers find out).
They were lucky to have been found alive. Most cell phones are useless up there, especially off the paved sections and down a slope in a wrecked car.

Another minor injury (complained of neck and back pain) and was airlifted to the county hospital. What a waste.

You are very right, a lot of people (especially young) don't have a clue as how to safely drive in a dangerous area. They are all very lucky, the accident wasn't much worse.

GMR is always full of teens and twenty somethings, racing up and down, either in racing cars or motorcyles, at all hours.
We live near it and see them driving up there constantly.
Not a surprise.

These knuckleheads think they know how to drift and end up off the road and upside down. One idiot a few years ago was drifting on Hwy 39 and went off the road and into the dam reservoir and was not found for a week still seat-belted in his car DEAD.

Why is it that almost every time I read an article about a vehicle going off the edge of Glendora Mountain Road, it's almost always a woman driver?

It makes us other women drivers feel and look bad :(

I agree that idiots are always "racing" their way up and down that road. I took my 3 1/2" year old son up there one day just so he can take in a view since I live close by. On my way up two idiots racing thier suped up piece of crap old hondas nearly took us out while they were on thier way down. Boy it makes you so much more angry when you have your kids with you. That said, shouldn't assume that this girl was one of those idiots just because she was driving on a public road at night. Maybe they were just going up their to shoot the bull and look at the stars. I know I did that when I was young.

Though I an not familiar with that particular area, I believe everything you say. These young people (all the time) drive stupid and crazy in dangerous areas.

If the young girl was driving safely, she wouldn't have gone off the road.

Hopefully, they will learn from their mistake as well as lead others to NOT do what they did. Maybe community service for the driver. She could go around to area high schools and tell them how NOT to drive. Win...Win.

It's a shame, how many of you look down on us for "racing" the path,. If you don't know what it feels to hit speeds of 60MPH going downhill,. well then ill tell you, It's thrilling, adventurous, and liberating. It's the only time in my life that i really feel like i have a firm grip on life and have complete control,. I Love speeding on the path, and of course I look out for other drivers,. never have i had an accident, nor do i hope to encounter one in the feature,. but please for the love of god don't judge us!

Lest all you speed racers forget, there are also cyclists on GMR and GRR and I and my friends have had too many close calls with you idiots. Have a little respect for the sanctity of lives. If you want an adrenaline rush go throw yourself off a cliff without a parachute but don't take anyone else with you.

Car vs. Bike car wins I never double lane before 1am but still saying that I have little respect for my life when your going to ride a 2 lane highway with tight turns where you know cars will be coming by at pace, I feel like that's on you having no respect for your life I have a rollcage and 3000 pounds of metal protecting me, you have a helmet
