You've got to love the media of 2009. "Outbreak" actually refers to 1 performer. The number 22 refers to cases in the last 5 years. I don't know how many performers the industry claims to have, but 22 over 5 years does not seem like a huge percentage.

Where do you draw the line between anything goes porn and the safety of the performers? Let's start using computers to create animated porn that you couldn't perform anymore with real people.

The nice thing about porn is even if all of the performers have full blown AIDS; you still can't possibly get it, so it's still the safest way of busting a nut.

You are a fool. You can contract HIV and have the virus in your blood - AND be spreading it to to others - for up to 6 MONTHS before you get positive results to a HIV antibody test. I suggest you read the CDC factsheet on AIDS.

And so say all of us, Lola.

Remind me never to audition for a porn movie - again.

thats why you pay more for bare sex movies, and they pay their actors more

anyone doing it bare has to assume they are going to get it sooner or later, and they better put their money into a good health insurance policy

It's Sharon Kane, She has been doing films for decades but has recently been relegated to bisexual films for the past ten years and the ocassional MILF movie. Testing worked. It caught her (who knows where she got it from) and kept her from infecting people in the industry so testing worked. Relax. The problem was that the director (Tom Moore) was "lax" about letting her "act" in the film because he has known her for years and she has appeared in dozens of his films (gay/bisexual films in which she gets sexed by two males who also sex themselves). He neglected the fact that she had not had a PCR DNA test in 30 days. He did so because he was "pressed for time" and wanted to get the scenes shot. He figured that since he knew her and she rarely worked (she only did about 2 to 4 films every two months) that she was "safe". He gambled with his actors lives and lost. The other problem is that the gay sex industry does NOT test, which is a shock in and of itself. The lingering question is where Sharon Kane got the virus. She did not get it in porn so it must have come from something she was doing in her personal life. Fearing retribution, Tom Moore has apparently fled to South America where he has friends and relatives in Costa Rica.

Over at http://medhelp.org they wouldn't agree. For example, in this thread http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV-Prevention/F... the poster is told "To this end, get tested at 6-8 weeks following exposure. AT that time virtually all persons who acquired HIV will have positive tests. Most experts no longer feel that persons need to wait until 12 weeks for definitive test results."

I'm no expert, but the doctors answering those questions appear to be ones.

Last person you want speaking for you is Sharon Mitchall..

She refers to herself as Dr not because of a medical degree but some sort of community doctrine achieved in an obscure course at a lowly unheard of "institution"..

HIV infects the body through open cuts, that's why having anal sex is so risky. The butt hole is too small, a penis is too large to be forced in there, it's un-natural. So yes, tearing will occur while having anal sex, an HIV will enter the bloodstream. HIV isn't a gay man disease, HIV is a scientificly invented virus, originated from the kidney tissue of a monkey, spread to animals and humans to control the oversized population. The creation of HIV wasn't an accident. And like Lola said, the virus doesn't show up in tests for some time, meanwhile, the unknowing virus carrier is infecting other people.
