Another bad cop... so sad. I wish the department would be more picky when they hire. Did they drop the standards? Are they allowing candidates with a record join? How about a polygraph every 3 years for all cops?

Remember this story every time a Politician or someone connected with the judicial system wants us to give up our RIGHT to bear arms!

No F*#&#n way will we leave our lives and the lives of our loved ones to inept, uneducated children who are too busy dealing with their own demons.

Why do people think they can and or are alllowed to sexual abuse someone and think it o'kay. The laws really did to change not only for civilian but for police officers as well. Sexually abusing someone is NOT and never will be allowed. It is and always will be a CRIME, male or female, child or adult. Sexual abuse is something that stays with you forever and it is 100 percent wrong. I guess he will be suspensed with pay.

I hope that the DN gives more specifics as to what this Safety officer did, which constitute a sexual assault. And what evidence is there? And the credibility of the accuser

Leroy Baca is the Sheriff, not the chief of the County Police.

there are some cops who have dirty laundry, but the public is not informed, is there a public list of bad cops? or those who are on probation of duty misdemeanors.

They're not under his control until the start of the fiscal year. In the works for a long time? I think you mean mid-December, which isn't long at all considering it's a complete consolidation of 2 county agencies. Clown simpletons? That's coming from someone who doesn't know any better than to make 3 separate consecutive posts into one paragraph. And then you make the statement "you must be edumacated", but complete it with a question mark.

What are the Los Angeles County Safety Police ?

I don't think I've ever heard of the organization before. And why do we need another group besides the sheriff's department ?

Reminds me of the old California State Police, who were primarily involved with protecting politicians before they were disbanded and absorbed into the Highway Patrol.

The L.A. County Police is being absorbed by the L.A. County Sheriff's Office. As a result, many of the L.A.County Police Officers WILL NOT get hired with the Sheriff's Office due to unfit backgrounds. The Sheriff's hiring standards were a bit more stringent.

I just noticed the heading on this topic:

"L.A. County officer arrested on suspicion of on-duty sexual @ss..."

Quite appropriate.
