I wish I was more computer savy I would know what all this VOD, DVO,CVR,ABC means. Is this the same thing as pay per view in a round about way? I for one would be glad of the day where I can turn on my TV and if I want to watch a "Bewitched" show I type in the name and up it plays. Just like that. Any movie any time. Wouldnt' that be nice but I am sure someone somewhere is already working on that. I just hope I am around to see it. I am 83 year old this April. I still rememeber the day when a TV came to town. It was a family that moved to Bebee from Little Rock and they had won a TV from some Hardware store. I remember at least 20 people in that house one night watching that box. Of course us children where more interested in playing.

VOD means video on demand. I think it's channel 001 and 999. You can go on those channels if you have a HDTV cable box and watch tv shows at your convenience instead of the actual time they come on! It's nice, my daughter loves mickey mouse clubhouse but it's never on when she wants to watch it. Now we can go to the VOD channels and watch it anytime.

Cabot Mom, thank for for your info. I do have the HDTV cable box but I got nothing explaining how to use it. It is a shame you get more off a chat site than what the actual company gives you. Thanks again Cabot Mom. I think I will start enjoying this never TV thing after all.

Betty Boops,

Thanks Tina
Please make sure this welcome kit is where a 78 year old lady can understand it. I know my grandson gets tired of coming over to grandmothers and she puts him to work on my electronics. He says, "Grandma, it is so easy to understand." He just doesn't understand how even a old lady doesn't understand such things. He doesn't undetstand I remember the big hub-bub when digital watches came out.I just hope it remembers this when he can't figure out how to work the news electronic thingimabob when it is old.

Your so funny Betty Boop. If you can figure out topix, you shouldn't have any problems with VOD! It's simple. Go to channel 999 and then choose the free category. And then go from there until you find something you want to watch! If you need anything else just ask!

Cabot mom, I think this old lady has figured it out all by my self. My grandson left town with his family on Spring break so there was no one here but me to do it. So one night I climbed up in bed and got my remote out and started pressing buttons tell I rememberd what you told me, and low and behold there it was. I got kind of upset because there is no tell how long I could have been watching these shows I enjoy. Cabotmom, I want to thank you for helping this old lady out and made her life just a little better. I said a prayer for you tonight, I asked that he give you a good blessing for taking the time out of your life to help a old lady. And you know I have a good feeling he will too. Thank Cabot mom.

Well thank you! I noticed the VOD button on my remote the other day and I thought of you. I have been watching more shows on there lately. I love the fact that they are pretty much commercial free! I saw your post about tasty freeze, maybe we should have lunch over there sometime!

CabotMom, I would like that.
Also, Since my grandson is on spring break this past week I made him spend all day over here at grandmas to show and make sure I am working this VOD right, and guess what! I have the hang of it and watching movies and shows like a 1950's teenager on Friday night with a dollar bill in his pocket. I am sure not many of you youngens can remember when the movies were a .25 and soda and a bag of popcorn would be ..20 if you brought for yourself. Those were the days. But I got it going now and thanks Cabot Mom, this old lady has learned something new this year. Thank you Cabot Mom and God bless you and your family for your kindness.
