Here it is that we are in a shortage and they are looking for people who have not used all of there medication to turn it over so that it can be thrown out like trash, That is a shame when so many people need this medication and can't afford it. too bad that they can't come up with a way to reuse it and help out others.

R U people really that stupid...The program is designed for out of date prescriptions, its not takeing anybodys medicines away from them. If you have medication that your Doctor has taken you off of or out dated medication most people think you can just flush it down the toilet, but you can't. This program is a place where people can dispose of unused medication. The DEA then disposes the medication the right way so that our kids arent getting them and druggies wont be breaking in our homes and killing us for them.

When I listen to Cheap Trick's California Man I stick one thumb in my ass and the other in my mouth. I bend over and spin real fast counterclockwise while switching thumbs to the beat.

Goin' to a party,
Meet me out after school.
Well we go to a place
Where the jive is really cool.
And if the band stops a playin'
There's a jukebox in the hall.

Well put your blue dress on,
And your folks all gone.
You'll sure give the guys a ball.

Get that real guitar boy shakin',
Im a California man
Dance right on till the floors are breakin'
Im a California man.

Well I cross my mamma so bad
And this a woman's just a making me mad.
So I don't care if your legs
start aching,
I'm a California man.
Oh my, I'm a California man.

Oh my legs start to shiver
When I hear you call my name.
Well, my knees keep a knocking,
And my bow ties bustin' out

An when we take off fine,
An my jeans are way down low.
When I waggle my hips
Its making me feel like a king of rock n roll

I absolutely think this would be a good idea. I have had medications stolen from me that I no longer was using...had medicine locked in a briefcase w/combo...shit...that doesn't stop people....so giving the medications to the local police I don't think is such a bad idea. I am a 54 yr old woman and just learned this yr. I cannot flush medications down the toilet, it gets in water system...so the pharmacist said. So now anything I am scared to take, or if it seem to strong....back to the dr.s it goes....to be disposed of...or something....but at least it is still in the hands of a dr. not my home

Christy, you are exactly right. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO SHARE PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE. IF YOU GET CAUGHT YOU WILL GO TO JAIL. You cannot reuse prescription medication or take medication prescribed to someone else. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW!!!. This program is designed to reduce access. This means that it takes outdated or unused prescription medication out of the hands of someone who may abuse it. It is a voluntary program. When the medication is collected it will be taken to the Sheriff's dept., treated as evidence, and sent off to be properly disposed of. Usually incinerated. This program is being done in several states across the United States SUCCESSFULLY. Come on people, do some research.

Just for the record, it has been proven that most medication, even though out of date is still potent enough to treat what it was originally intended for. Expiration dates are just a means for pharma to make more money. Meds are still useable far beyond their expiration dates. However, I think the program, if done correctly and legally is a good way to keep unwanted meds out of the water supply and out of experimenting teenager's hands. You don't want those left over Vikes ending up at your son or daughter's next Pharm Party.

Exactly my friend...and if I were to find my daughter in my med's....I would bust her little ass! I asked her one day, why didn't you ever get into the hard drugs like your some of your friends, she said "MOm, cause I always knew you would know somehow, and you would bust my ass, well at least she knows that! Kept her from never going beyond MJ...but she recently turned 21, and that was a legal fun night for her, she didn't drive, spent the night at a friends. Called me. Good kid!
