Logan woman accuses officers of raping her

A woman who alleges she was gang-raped by Logan County police officers has filed suit in federal court.

What a laugh! I just read an ad in Wednesday's Logan Banner on page 5 about by a lawyer soliciting for "Police Brutality Victims" Like I said earlier "for the right price this would all go away."

Why would there be 4 cops in the same car?

Why would a Chapmanville city be in a Deputy Car?

Why are the Logan County Sheriff's Department, Sheriff Eddie Hunter, the city of Chapmanville and the Logan County Commission also named as defendants?(COVERUP??????)

If nothing was wrong with the girl then why would they have to transfer her to CAMC?

Why are all three Logan officers still on duty?

Why is our local paper not covering the story and we have to red about it in the Chaleston Gazette?

Why does one of these officers have more than one suit against him?(coincidence, I don't think so)

This is not rocket science! Eddie Hunter should be kicked out of the Sheriffs office for not temporarily suspending these officers and possibly putting the public in more danger!!!!!!!

Not a coverup. In any litigation against a county Sheriff's dept., the county commission must be named as defendant because:
1. The commission sets the Sheriff office's budget
2. The county holds the liability insurance policy
It's just a formality. The same reasons apply for naming chapmanville. Just the lawyers trying to tap into 2 insurance policies.
The transfer to CAMC is because unfortunately LRMC does not do "rape kits".
As for the Logan Banner, they don't do investigations any longer, just rehash other news.

Mabye so, but Logan's voters have put a lot of new faces in public offices in the last 4-5 years. Things have gotten better. Hard to say they are all corrupt now. Actually some good people in office.

That being said, having the Chapmanville cop with them looks bad. No business whatsoever being there. I doubt it was rape, or the FBI would have filed criminal charges already, but these guys are guilty of stupid, therefore this case will be settled under the rug.

That is great news I'm glad lawyers are finally willing to help people who suffer from police abuse.

My regret is they don't get jail time to go with the crimes they do to people.

It looks like it made the Logan paper and they forgot to mention the FBI is also investigating. If I were Eddie I wouldn't be so quick to take up for these idiots, obviously they were up to no good wit 4 in the car and one a city. How can anyone be such idiots that they would doubt these officers didn't do anything when they dont know this for a fact. I think the Sheriff should be more cautious unless the code of silence runs alot deeper than though.

No charge yet by the FBI does'nt indicate anything except that they are slow. They may be investigating other incidents by the same deputies to build a case.

this issue has been ajudgeated before you pass judgement on a person that may have more intregity

YEAH RIGHT! When it comes to Logan Co.politics I doubt that there is very much morality involved.Everybody that lives in Logan County knows how "dirty" that the politicians are here.Nothing that happens here surprises me!
