Nice thought, I have asked my children's teachers about the "homework" and there is NO homework to do at home! It is all done at school now that it is longer school days and no school on Friday. So I ask my kids 5000 questions on what they learned, and I go over the Thursday Folders when they bring those home. I have 2 "A" students and another child that is raising his grades with my constant pestering. There is a lot that I shake my head at that involves this school. If I could get them to a different school I would.
Look for people to carpool with to Joburg or Hillman. Both of these are better options for your kids!

This morning my daughter told me she didn't want to go back to school because of all the teasing she gets. I asked her what the teacher does about it and she said nothing! I'll be in the principal's office on Monday to see what she is going to so about it. If I don't get a satisfactory answer we'll be moving all of our kids to Hillman!

Stop with the screen names! You keep threatening to remove your kids from our schools and send them to Hillman! Well, do it already, quit making empty threats under different screen names (pathetic)! We don't care what you do! Or maybe you don't have children in our schools, you just have a grudge against Stauffer and Sarkozi. Enough! Grow up!

You don't even know me! This is the first time I've ever posted on this site. You seem to be a troll on this forum who criticizes anyone whose opinion is different than yours. My husband and I are hard working members of this commmunity and we won't be deterred in doing what is best for our kids. So, "Enough already" you can kiss my arse!

Enoughalready,

What is your problem with angrymom having an opinion? Seems to me she is just concerned about her kids.

The kids are not stupid. They know what is going with this site. They have learned that all they have to do is complain to their parents about how badly they are being treated and they want to leave this terrible school. The parents get played like a cheap violin.

The parents who have legitimate concerns should go talk with the superintendent/principal. Those who just want to bitch should follow through with their threats. Most of those parents sound like the kid who brought his football to the game and now doesn't like the way the game is going so he is going to take his football and go home. Whaaa

While you are debating your childrens behaviour in public schools has it dawned on any of you it is your responsability to teach your children proper public behaviour. Perhaps it is just so much easier to blame the momentary glimpse of deplorable actions by school children on the new principle. Proper public behaviour is just one more thing todays parents have dumped on existing public institutions. Much easier to lay blame than, than to practice proper parenting skills.

Your lack of decision making on your own childs behalf is showing up in the public education debate again through the American Library Association. They are the same group that said the "Lord Of The Rings" is as inflmmitory as "I Have Two Mommies". Only now they have decided it is allright to re-write classic stories to tame them down for todays classrooms. I guess without any parental input they (the AMA) believe themslves a good substitute for social concience. It's obvious you posters here are sorely lacking concience.

Our kids and grandchildren cannot possibly compete with kids from other towns who go to school every day. For Christ sake people I did the math. Our kids are only scheduled to go to school about 130 day this year versus 180 in most schools. My son and daughter inlaw will be moving their three kids to Joburg in the fall!

The kids call Stauffer "the warden" because she calls herself that, and seems very proud of it. She also acts like one. She threatens the kids no matter their age with getting the athorities involved. Why would you need to call the police on kids just because they didn't listen or was in the wrong seat or any other non threatening act. She just don't know how to deal with children.
