Lincoln Davis, our current representative for Tennessee’s 4th US congressional district is a perfect example of why we need term limits. He knows how to craft his words to cover his actions only to deceive his constituents. The longer one stays in Washington the more adept one becomes at manipulation, denial and skillful distortion of truth. Congressman Davis would have the 4th district believe he did not vote for taxpayer funding of ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) while under investigation by the FBI in at least 12 states for voter fraud. If he bothered to read the 1,100 plus pages in the document’s fine print of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act stimulus package, he would know that $4.19 billion was allocated to “Neighborhood Stabilization Activities” aka ACORN. Because of his verbal gymnastics and carefully chosen labels it allows him to take cover from the reckless spending of our hard earned tax dollars. His misrepresentation allows ongoing irresponsible behavior. When do we stop borrowing money from foreign nations and future generations to satisfy Washington? Thanks, Charlsie Estes.
