Lincoln County to get more than $1 million for Little Bear Fire cleanup

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is providing more than $1 million to reimburse Lincoln County for cleanup costs resulting from flooding following last summer's Little Bear Fire in the White Mountain Wilderness Area near Ruidoso.

A million dollars? That's it? Surely the cleanup cost is exponentially more than that! Someone? Where are the actual cost accountings of the necessary reparations?

I agree. Why do we never get the figures on community expenditures or reimbursements from somewhere else? From what I understand, the village books are still not balanced. It's all such a mystery in this town.
