My only question is why do we pay cops when these are the types of things w here about all the time I'd have to say from experience as a paramedic that alot of the calls responded to where cops were involved in a chase have resulted in car accidents and most of them fatalities and very serious injuries why do we risk losing the life of an individual over a fight was the pursuit really worth the life lost and the grief it caused in the community come on people lets realize the effect these officers are having on our community I'm sure they could have found an address for whomever was involved in this fight and had it ben handled diligently maybe by arriving at this young man or womans house once they were home this young girl would still be alive today but thanks to these people who call themselves heroes we have lost another innocent life come on guys we need to get with the program and do something about the way these so called heroes handle these calls as tax payers we do pay they're salaries why should we not be able to set regulations for them also the officers involved in this pursuit should not have a job as of that night....

Are you seriously blaming the police officer for actions he took that were incited by and provoked by a criminal? Are you that ignorant? If the criminal he had been chasing, hadn't commited a crime and thus the girl would still be alive. If cops just didn't bother chasing criminals, then chances are a you'd be dead by a spewing garbage of violent crime and unable to post today. Police officers have jobs, they make mistakes, you have a job, you make mistakes. How many people have died in the back of your ambulance? By your logic, we should blame you for not being able to keep them alive.
It's garbage like this that's keeps police officers from being able to do their job, you act like this officer did all of this on purpose. With all do respect, put yourself in the line of fire everyday and risk your life for people who clearly don't care for what they do.

2 years later.... Let this young lady rest in peace for God's sake. Hasn't the family been through enough?
