My father, Gerald Leslie Stambaugh, was killed in Leslie County, Ky in 2003 by drunk drivers Phillip Bruce Pennington & Stanley Hoskins. They had been drinking all day long and was out in a truck that Pennington had borrowed from a relative. My father was driving to work all the way from Johnson County, Ky when the drunks t-boned his car and killed him instantly. Because both Pennington & Hoskins had been thrown from the vehicle, they could not prove which one was driving. There was no justice in this case because of several factors: the Ky State Trooper who was first on the scene was a rookie, James Williams, and the judge was a low life who sat and ate candy while listening to the case, and the overall- wearing jurors who acted like a bunch of dumb hillbillies that were scared for their lives, let both Pennington & Hoskins go free. Hope this doesn't happen to any of your family members. Someday I get to tell my son about his grandpaw that he never got to meet and about the justice we didn't receive in Leslie County.

When was the date of the trial? Wish I had known, maybe someone from MADD could have been there. On another note, if both people were thrown from the car, it may be hard to know who was driving even for a veteran trooper.
