Uniformed armed guards at schools is not the answer, there are guards at banks and it doesn't stop bank robberies. Not to mention that the cost to employ guards for every school would be astronomical. The solution is to train and arm teachers and school administrators. There is already a teacher in every classroom, having that teacher trained and armed means you now have an armed guard in every classroom. A gunman could sneak past a guard at the gate, but if faced with a "guard" in every classroom they won't be able to commit their crime without resistance.
