Folmer versus Nace

Lancaster, PA

#2 Mar 22, 2011
I'm guessing Paul doesn't agree with Mike Folmer's proposed legislation that would force the drivers of vehicles off the roadway and into oncoming traffic in order to always allow all bicycles the right of way on our roadways.

How can the taxpayers even trust Gov. Corbett of the Republican led majority in Harrisburg to pass a fair tax system.

All Republicans ever do is give more and more tax cuts to the rich and corporations.

What we have sucks, but what we will get with these corporate Republican crooks in Harrisburg will be even worse.

Pa. Title 75 governs the use of bicycles on roadways. It allows cyclists the same rights as motorists, specifically in section 3501(a) which states "Every person riding a pedalcycle upon a roadway shall be granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle by this title, except as to special provisions in this subchapter and except as to those provisions of this title which by their nature can have no application."

No more LCB

Lancaster, PA

#8 Mar 22, 2011
The Pa. State Republicans are out to destroy the LCB and put all the enforcement onto local taxpayers and police forces that are already understaffed.

It's a free world. You can send your money to Freedom Works and watch corporate millionaires from Wall St. take over what's left of the country.

Go for it.

Soro's is a poor man up against to the Koch Brothers.$14.5 billion in 2011 for Soro's to $44 in 2011 billion for the Kochs.

Try again this argument is pathetic at best.

Mr. Nace wants to keep bicycle riders off "our" roads...because he is minorly inconvenienced while hauling his ass around in 1.5 ton steel and plastic box that runs on non-renewable petro, polluting our environment, making you fat, slow and stupid.
Mr. Nace, how about shifting the funding for the pentagon's middle east war budget directly to the gas pumps!!!? As a working stiff and tax payer, I am sick of subsidizing your petroleum dependent lifestyle made possible only by the trillion dollars spent the last decade on middle east wars and occupation there! The days of "happy motoring" are coming to an end Paul! I hope you can learn to adapt, ride a bike, and smile...

You should be forced to carry liability insurance if you want to ride bikes on roadways with cars. It time to stop letting bicycles get a free ride.

Although there is no law forcing cyclists to carry liability insurance (and, as far as I know, there is no company that provides a product specifically for bicycles), virtually every cyclist is covered by default through their auto and homeowner's insurance insurance. Homeowner's/renter's insurance will typically cover bikes themselves from being stolen and struck, as well as for any personal liability for accidents; many auto insurance policies (including mine) provide medical coverage if I am struck by a car while bicycling (or as a pedestrian).
Folmers own Tea Party

Lancaster, PA

#16 Mar 22, 2011
Even the Tea Party whacko's think Mike Folmer's private charter school bill is unconstitutional and only out to ruin teachers unions.

http://www.york912patriots.com/school-choice-...

So why is the man that brags about being a strict constitutionalist and even sells constitutional classes being called out by the Tea Party for trying to pass unconstitutional legislation aimed at ruining teachers unions ?

So if you ride a bike don't own a home and don't own a car. The driver of a vehicle is screwed if an accident is bicyclists fault.

This is why bikes should stay off the road.
