Do you want a candidate you respect or do you just want a chosen party follower who will do what the party bosses want, regardless of the needs of the people?
That's the whole point! We would like one that cares about the county (that's us!)and not one that appears to change parties because he can't beat those anointed by his prior party.

And if you buy this BS about just realizing that he should be in the other party 8 days before the petition season, I've got this bridge I'll make you a great deal on.

Litz may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she at least doesn’t kowtow to the 2 dominant party members.

There are more than 160 members of the Republican Committee, less than 1/3 of them are "Tea Party". There was a vote and the end result of the vote was to endorse. If you look at the vote counts about 1/3 of the members voted against endorsing. That 1/3 accepted the vote of the majority and there were endorsements this year.
As for the fight over who is running the club house. It wasn't simply the 1/3 that elected Pat Braden as the Chairman, it was the vast Majority of the Committee. A few didn't accept that vote and that is what created the mess.
Of course, none of this is mentioned in the newspapers because that wouldn't protect the status quo. Everything has to be that extreme radical "Tea Party" so we can compartmentalize, label and divide the country even more.
Mostly you are right, except on one point: The newspapers have no interest whatsoever in protecting the status quo. On the contrary, they thrive on squabble. Nothing wrong with that; but it's what they do.

That has nothing whatsoever remotely to do with political philosophy. That's simply gang mentality. Also, you're lying. Because I have been at those meetings, and I know everybody else who has, and I don't think you are one of them, Mr. Thomas Pain.

Quite a chore in a literal sense!
