Perhaps our local legislators have forgotten they serve ALL Lebanon County residents; Independents, Libertarians, and yes, Democrats. The first words out of their mouths is pushing a partisan and self-centered agenda. Despite the Arizona shootings and killings, Folmer is still using inflammatory right-wing rhetoric- "We are locked and loaded". Swanger is pushing to expand the use of guns and deadly force (a Sarah Palin wannabe?) and is wasting time trying to have English declared the state's official language.(Why? English is clearly used by the majority of state residents and by all at the State House to conduct official business.) The primary goal of all state legislators, including the "Three Stooges", should be to focus on the economy and job creation. Furthermore, a balanced budget may be impossible to achieve by just making cuts. Joining the other 49 states in taxing cigars and smokeless tobacco should be on the table. Furthermore, allowing the natural gas corporations to make billions without paying a state levy, while the state is suffering from a horrible recession, is gross stupidity. It's a shame that we are stuck with such self-centered, unimaginative, and extremist legislators!

To "Cornwall Citizen": I'll bet you anything you want that natural gas corporations doing business in PA, including the extraction of natural gas, are paying taxes in PA, at least on taxable profits they are earning from their activities in the state.

Just because they may not be paying as high a level of taxes as you want, or the exact form of a particular tax, doesn't mean they are not paying taxes. And natural gas exploration, development and production companies are certainly investing millions of dollars on their operations in the state. Would you prefer they not be here?

Natural gas companies are getting a virtual free ride in PA and will continue to do so now that Republicans are in charge.

And this at a time when we have a $5 billion deficit. That makes a lot of sense.

The argument that if they're taxed they'll leave is ridiculous. THE GAS IS HERE, IT'S NOT IN FLORIDA!

I guess Tom Ridge has earned the big bucks he is being paid to see that they get a free ride -- this is the biggest heist since Ridge and the Republican-controlled General Assembly concocted the pension increases that we're all gonna be stuck with for years. THANKS A LOT!

Mike Folmer's number one political agenda is to push for unconstituional vouchers to charter schools. Folmer needs to payback Students First PAC and the rich Wall St. investors behind the PAC who donated $20,000 dollars to his campaign.

Time to payback your donors Mike.

You hit this one out of the park. If Mike Folmer thinks he is just going to walk away from his extremist right wing radical legislative agenda and hate filled Tea Party speechs and lies the man is dreaming.

Folmer beagn this hate filled in you face politcal rhetoric with his COOL PAC organized HACC Attack of a US Senator and continued the hate filled speeechs and lies at Tea Party Rallies.

My State Senator Mike Folmer compared our US President to Adolf Hitler and our Presidents agenda to those of the Wen Mar Republic.

Mike Folmer is a certifiable anti government right wing extremists who uses Republican hate, lies and scare tactics to bring citizens to his anti government cause.

This isn't the same old crap for a differnt person.

What Pa. State lammaker do you know that wrote legislation that repeal state healthcare mandates on things like routine gynecological and breast exams for women ?

How about repealing mandates that insure healthcare providers in this state cover immunizations for our children ?

What do you think of repealing manadates on healthcare insurers in Pennsylvania that provide healthcare coverage for adopted children on their adopted parents healthcare programs ?

Like it or not the people living and voting in Pa. Senator Mike Folmer's district better wake up because Mike wrote this exact repealing healthcare legislation attacking the healthcare coverage of women, children and adopted kids.

I wonder if Gingrich is going to keep kissing Folmer's butt after she realizes Pat Braden is going run a Tea Party candidate against her in 2012 ?

Should be fun to watch.

I think the article on Pennlive says it all about Corbett and the Republicans like Folmer and Swanger.

Business owners will win and workers and property owners will lose.

Who would have ever guessed that Corbett was anti-worker politician.

Folmer is tryting to pull another fast one right under the voters noses.

Let's pass term limit legislation that exempts the status quo from the new bill.

The same Mike Folmer that despices union contracts is trying to pass term limit legisaltion that can't touch the current status quo.

Mike Folmer's looking ahead and passing legislation that fires one school staff member along with every public school teacher.

I never have seen a lawmaker so happy and politically ready to end people's jobs and incomes.
