"To think a 'country bumpkin' from Goosetown could achieve this feat is remarkable."

Bill,
You have done a fine job in the 13 years we have lived in Cornwall and I hope you come back on Corwall Borough Council. We need your steady hand, frankness, no nonsense approach to dealing with issues.

I guess if you think passing county budgets that included private banks loans spread out over years to come up with a ponzi scheme balanced budget is good government.

Is it any wonder why Cornwall Borough is flat broke with citizens like Stanely.

So what do you suggest they cut "know it all"? They borrow temporarily till the revenues come in from the real estate taxes, they paid back last years early... The commissioner buzzed through the reserves over 8 years ago!

as usual you will not have a solution just partisan name calling...

Carpenter's most important role as County Commissioner was keeping his buddy Stohler awake at meetings. Anyone who ever attended a Commissioner's Meeting got to see his mean-spirited, egotistical, and arrogant demeanor. Carpenter was often rude to fellow Commissioner Jo Ellen Litz and disrespectful to those making presentations that didn't match his rigid ideology. Now, he's taking credit for farmland preservation, when all the votes were always unanimous. Carpenter never had an original idea or any compassion for the residents of Lebanon County in his life. STAY RETIRED...PLEASE!

Carpenter was a very loyal person, loyal to the people that helped his best interest. What are Carpenters cronies going to do without him? Our county will hopefully be in a better place once he leaves.

You people are hopeless. A tireless public servant, never tainted by a hint of scandal, announces his well-deserved retirement and all you can do is carp. Shame on you.

F U...Good riddance you fat douchebag...How anyone like you held on to that position for so long is beyond me...Must have worn out quite a few pairs of kneepads over the years...You're a rude, obnoxious person that puts way too much importance in your opinions...Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out you walking, talking rectum...Maybe now someone can get in there and clean up your f'ing mess.....
