That consolidation was the result of a 2-1 vote of the county commissioners, but not before critical comments from Commission President Les Boggs who opposed the move and the way the vote was taken.

I hope the sheriff can get the support/funds to bring the 911 center up to date.

BIG MISTAKE!!!!! If you need fire or ems then you will have to wait because sheriff's personel will take presidence. Believe what you will but this was not a good idea...

So all the other counties that have combined all their dispatching under one roof screwed up?

I don't think so.

This is best thing to happen to county in a long time.

It is for sure about time! Glad to see it happen. I hope that the Sheriff will clean up some of the part time dispatchers that has no clue what's going on, along with some of the full time dispatchers that has no clue what is going on. The current/last Director had the talk but couldn't do the walk. Kudos to the 2 commissioners that made it happen!

It will be interesting to see how things go but for sure Jeff Lawless needs to make sure it all happens and it happens right. His name is on this and now he must move it forward. Good Luck Jeff.

not so sure this is a good deal i mean our good ole boys sherriff dept come on that place is a joke for real useless if something was wotrth while at that place thne the drug issue would be cut down and all i see is the sherriff office is invovled in on alot of thing that is why most people get a slap on the hand and say go do it again you are a real winnner so if we have areal crisis and need tro call 911 not sure what is going to happen here
