Really? First, you defend the kid who threatend the school and then you blamed claim that bringing back the paddles in school will cure all. Finally, you talk down to somebody who was evidently directly in the school.
How about this: We as parents take responsible for our own children and stop looking to the school and the rest of society to take care of our own kids. AS for paddling in school......HELL NO! Nobody will touch one of my kids. the kid wanted to pull a stupid stunt like that and he should be punished. He will no go to a group home until he is 18, but he very well could for a couple of years.
if he goes 2 years or 3 he will end up in and out until hes 18. because f*ckers like you will already have your mind made up about this kid. he may not be the one that does anything but will get the blame because he saw it happen. i totally agree with you on taking care of our own and stop looking to society. which is why i say do away with child services because its their fault that parents cant discipline their kids without some sap calling them on them. and you sayin HELL NO to anyone paddling your kids. well your the example of why things are the way they are today. now the kid will go to a detention center and then you will bitch about the tax money that is spent to keep any of them.

I will never bitch about my tax money going to jails and or detention centers. They are my children is all and I DO NOT SPANK THEM; therefore, why would I let anyone else tocuh them. Before you talk about how out of control my kids are just let me say this: my oldest son is in college, he is on an atheletic and academic scholarship. I also have two younger sons who are very well behaved. Why? Just my humble opinion but, I treated them like people, I respected them as such, as it was and is my job to mold them, encourage them, help them find out what they are good at and help them to go after it.
When they did/do screw up the yare punished but, I do not touch them. It has worked for me.

has anyone realized it is not the childs fault his father is in prison and his mother is not there for him maybe he was just wanting some attention and he does not know how to go about it just sayin

I saw dont ruin the kids life via Jail or Juvenille correction. Expell him from the school system, allowing him to go to a neighboring school, not to put the child off on another school just to develop some since of normalcy for the child. I say give him a very high amount of community service hours and have him fulfill them in various ways. Psych help, and evenb house arrest on weekends and during all breaks this school year, and even over christmas break. Make his immediate life hell, but dont screw the kid up for life.

My kindergarten child was released early yesterday - not only was she scared but so was I. The kids see it as a fun way to get out of school but the parents - especially when you're new to the school atmosphere - were thinking "What if it's real this time?" With teens carrying guns and getting killed with them, with so many drug abusers, so many people in bad, desperate situations, this is not a simple prank, it's terrifying. He deserves severe punishment and maybe if his parents had done that early on Homeland Security wouldn't be doing it now.

Okay i see your point yes i do think that the other kid should have been punished as well ,but in schools all around the area its who ya know that counts anymore yeah i think it was just a childhood mistake that the kid will learn from and not do it again.
