I hope the female that gave birth (she certainly was NOT a Mother) to the child, has no other children. If she has had other children, are they safe?

Do you not read the story before you comment. She didn't just leave the child she left the child with another adult and the child died in that adults care. That's what gets me about this case why is she in jail and not that person. This is why she said she was leaving the baby, I'm not taking up for her because she lied about her other child and who knows where it is.

Kilburn and her boyfriend, Johnathon L. Haynes, 32, of London, told Haynes' brother that Kilburn's other child had been critically hurt in a motorcycle accident and was in a hospital in Tennessee, and they needed him to watch the baby, according to the release.

"It was determined that the child had not been hurt, and that the mother and boyfriend had in fact been partying for two days," the news release said.

My bad. I did read where she lied about another child being injured, but was in fact not hurt.
I guess under the circumstances you just never know what is truth and what story is a lie when it's coming from the breeder.
I truly do hope the surviving child is being well cared for by someone that will love & care for it.
Did she give birth to other kids? You know other than the one that died and the other one she lied about being badly injured?

I don't know, I don't know her. I only know what the news is reporting. I'm waiting for them to tell what the baby died of and charge the guy who was supposed to be watching the baby. Even the baby's father hasn't been charged, only the mother.

We are all waiting to learn why the baby died.
As for the guy who the baby was left with, a lot has not been reported about him or the circumstances at the home. I just know that a normal loving mother would never leave their infant in any situation that wasn't safe or with someone they didn't have 100% confidence in for caring for their infant.

I'm wondering if the baby's father is even known. If he is known, did he have contact with the baby?

i wonder how old this male was that she left her baby with. who in their right mind would drop off a 10 week old newborn baby for some dude and and an old 75 year old man to care for.... this is totally way out there. that baby could of been drugged up, raped, or anything...this is soo sad!!

And that is why she was charged, neglect.you can't legally pawn your baby off on someone and go party all weekend, unless he just flat out murdered the kid,the blame is all hers, she should never have abandoned the baby.

The guy she was with ,owed nothing to the child as he wasn't the father, yes,it would be nice to let a drugged up party going pos leave her kid with a serial killer and not charge her with anything, not saying this guy was ,but the responsibility to leave her child with a safe person or stay home with it was hers, and hers alone. If she didn't want the kid why didn't she just give it up to foster care ,anything would have been better than what she did.If the guy with her partying, was the father, yes it could have been his fault too,but i don't think he was according to the news story.

if she "pawned" the child off then the person should have called social services or police if they couldn't, or wouldn't care for it. something doen't add up.

I can recall many times a certain pos pawned her 2 year old off on my 13 year old granddaughter.no,she wasn't really able to care for her but the mama didn't care, yes i wanted to call s.s.but they just end up giving them back so what do you gain, but you bet if something had happened it would have been her fault for leaving her with someone unable to care for her, this guy didn't want the child he had no duty to tend to her, him. He did try on account of his brother[her boyfriend]but the child was sick when she left it,he had no clue what he was signing on for.You guys are thinking of a paid capable babysitter who is trained to look after little ones,he wasn't.Plus he was lied to by his brother and the pos.mama.

Who cares if he was lied to or not, he accepted responsibility for the child and if he couldn't provide care then he should have refused. He also could have taken the baby to the hospital if she were sick or called social services when they failed to return but you don't allow the baby to lie there and die. The mother of course is a pathetic excuse for a mother and should be charged accordingly. It's probably best though to wait on the autopsy results before passing judgement. With illnesses like RSV an infant can just stop breathing and it could be that it wasn't anyones fault. Maybe he thought she was just sleeping. It's just very sad that a mother shows no more concern for her child than this. I wouldn't even leave my babies with family when they were that small.
