Justice Department Wants Latimer County To Repay Grant

The U-S Justice Department wants Latimer County to repay more than 170-thousand dollars in federal grant money that was to be used to hire additional law enforcement officers.

Why Didnt they hire more cops they sure need them ?

The grant was issued during Melvin Hollys term. Funds weren't used according to the grant...so...Latimer has to pay it back...Latimer County now is in dire need of new police vehicles and equipment...Latimer County commissioners need to start helping the sheriffs department instead of stabbing them in the back....drive by the Latimer County Sheriffs Office and take a look at it and the vehicles sitting outside...they are all junk....they are all old. Some of The Latimer County commissioners (No NAMES) always have road equipment etc. on private property helping people pave their personal driveways...costing us thousands upon thousands of dollars for a extra vote which is very ILLEGAL....One day...maybe....when one of the commissioners family members or themselves need the help of the Latimer County Sheriffs department and the vehicle breaks down on the way to the scene...maybe they will fork out some money to help them... They are crooks and need stopped...not really sure who to talk to on this subject to make a difference...any help will be greatly appreciated...Latimer County needs a change...There is more to this story by the way..

I am not posting my name only because I know what kind of trouble the county commisioners have already caused myself. But we do very much need new county commisioners specifically the one who is running right now. I hope everyone can see what kind of person he is and do the right thing. Then we only have to get rid of at least one more county commisioner and I am sure we all know who that one is to. A very concerned citizen of Latimer County who can't wait for this county to become better.

I agree Wayne Brinkly as county commisioner would be a great asset to Latimer County. I have known Wayne for many years and I believe he is an honest hard working citizen..

If you people are smart enough, just follow the money and see who is getting the favors done it leads to the money ---political donations are what you need to check on and see who is donating to who. It is supposed to be public info. the donors are the ones who make the money off of the county and the commisssioners control the county money. favors are favors. That is if you really want a change in your county
