I just recently found out about Robert's passing. I am the Director of the Cenral Florida Fire Academy. Robert was my paramedic instructor in 1978. I was in his very first class. Robert made an unbelievable impression on me. He was a knowledgable and compassionate instructor who, for many years, maintained the highest pass rate in the state for the paramedic certification exam. He will be missed. Rick

this saddens me, though i have not lived in lake county for many years! i worked for the Tavares F.D. when robert was on the city council and later worked for him at LRMC. ambulance service. he was a fine fellow and fair. i learned much from him about my job on the ambulance, he was always available to talk and more than willing to teach!
