This is Lake County's shame. A murderer goes free because Lake County plays politics.
Shot in the back. This was murder plain and simple.
The family should sue.

I dunno, the kid was too stupid to find a job or beg for money, so he had to steal things.

I'm sure he had a good reason for breaking into a lawn trailer with bolt cutters at 3:30 in the morning.

How do you know those bolt cutters weren't thrown out there to help make it look good?

Beil had plenty of time to set the whole scene up before he called the cops. He called his neighbor according to the neighbors son, when his dad wouldn't wake up and go over there, the son went over saw the dead body and went and woke his dad up. 911 wasn't called until after it was all over.

The trailer was set up so that it couldn't be broken into, backed up against steel posts poured in concrete.

Beil had more than enough time to set the scene up, he just forgot to plant a weapon on the kid.

I hope the cops checked his phone records for that night, it just may be that Brett could have been invited over there. The perfect murder, the perfect setup. Beil knew Brett or at least of him. From what I've heard, the kid Brett had been staying with used to work for Beil, and the next door neighbor kid went to school with Brett. He's still hanging out with Brett's friends, telling a story that doesn't match what has been reported.

There are all kinds of theives out there, why don't you ask Beil if he has been paying lake county intangible taxes on all those tools for his business. Better yet, why not look it up yourself and see if he has. Should he be shot in the back for it?
