Solar power outshining Colorado's gas industry

Full story: The Daily Sentinel

The sun had just crested the distant ridge of the Rocky Mountains, but already it was producing enough power for the electric meter on the side of the Smiley Building to spin backward.

Solar costs money ... saves nothing ...

Nellis AFB recently completed installing a solar array on 140 acres. Cost =$100,000,000
Savings in electric per year =$1,000,000
and then there is all that maintanence on a 140 acres of solar panels.
And some greenie idiot is saying whee! Oh wait, that appears to be Reid and Obama ... patting each other on the back! It certainly is ... getting photo op proclaiming how much their "alternative" energy is saving... ROFL ... and some stupid americans listen to these dumba**es

I wouldn't stop drilling for natural gas just yet.

Solar panels require immense amounts of maintainence, due to the materials becoming worn out from continuous exposure to sun. Solar panels also decrease in efficiency as well, losing deliverable voltage. The dollar amounts to keep solar panels efficient is astronomical, and it's foreseen that panel arrays may have to eventually be abandoned, just like wind generators are on Tehachapi Pass in California, sitting uselessly on the hillsides. Less power and eventual junk pollution from "Green" sources.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Taurus

Friends and partners aren't behaving as you would like today. They're eager to go their own way, much to your annoyance. In order to get round this you're going to have to ask yourself some tricky questions, such as whether you're trying to control everyone's behavior or whether they're being inconsiderate in wanting to do their own thing. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so maybe you should all release the tension by making it a super New Year's Eve celebration?
