Tornado Sirens Sound in La Crosse, No actual Threat

The La Crosse County Public safety Communications Department set off the weather warning sirens earlier tonight because of multiple calls to the dispatch center of the formation of funnel clouds near the Mississippi River in La Crosse.

well i didn't hear them... but it was good that it was just a drill... it would have freaked me out otherwise..

I don't think La Crosse has ever had a tornado hit the city limits. Sirens, whether for bad weather or for ambulances or fires, always scare me. It means something bad is happening, or about to happen.
