Efforts to transfer Farragut monument mired
The property owner who removed the stone marker from the West Knox County site where historians believe Admiral David Glasgow Farragut was born said she is getting frustrated with the county's inability to negotiate the transfer of the monument.

When are these people going to leave the lady and her property alone4? How would you feel if some group of people decided your yard was "historic"? These jerkwads want to take away this woman's land and restrict her use after every bit of the Farragut Farm has already been been developed.
The people who live in Admirals Landing are on living on historic ground. How many of them do you think would be willing to donate their land for a monument to somebody who lived there for a few years two hundred years ago and never even came back?
